OEWG3 Part 2 side event, Geneva –
The pathways for transformative actions on the GBF and its implementation
Organized by the Project on Wednesday 23rd of March, this side-event will give the floor to key stakeholders and partners including Elizabeth Mrema (CBD Executive Secretary), IPLCs, youth, local and subnational governments, private sector and finance, CBD parties and NGOs.

The President of the French Republic organized a One Ocean Summit dedicated to the Ocean to mobilize the international community and take concrete action to reduce the adverse effects on the ocean from the 9th to the 11th February 2022, in Brest, France.

Key topics for transformative discussions
Since 2019, our Project has been working hand-in-hand with multiple stakeholders from various fields to produce and publish 35 high-quality 4-pagers and associated video teasers on a wide range of biodiversity-related topics. Deeply in line with the post-2020 GBF agenda, the publications offer fruits for thoughts on biodiversity expertise (mainstreaming, marine biodiversity, ecosystems restoration...), dialogues (EU-Japan, Costa Rica, EU-South Africa...) and stakeholders mobilization (Youth, Subnational & Local Governments, businesses...).

The fifth United Nations Environment Assembly will be followed by a special session, to be held 3 - 4 March, 2022, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). It will be called UNEP@50.
