Organized by the project on March 23rd during Geneva’s OEWG3 Part 2, this side-event featured key stakeholders and gathered more than 100 participants. It shared their recipe for success and showcased strategic methodologies in building their capacity and driving transformative actions inside the CBD arena and beyond.

Calls for technical experts still on!
With a view to prepare the implementation of its activities, the project calls for application in relation to six key topics: biodiversity in agri-food systems, green cities, sustainable use of genetic resources, biodiversity mainstreaming, spatial planning, ecosystem restoration and mobilization. Deadline: May 31st 2022.

29 countries pledge record support to the Global Environment Facility
With $5.25 billion, GEF-8 funding will scale up efforts to tackle biodiversity loss, climate change, pollution. It comes at a critical moment for developing countries whose ability to tackle worsening environmental challenges has been strained by fiscal pressures from the COVID-19 pandemic and rising inflation.

 | Earth Hour 2022: Delegates paused to take part of the 'switch off' moment!
On the 26th of March, people and landmarks all around the world including the Sydney Opera, Beijing Phoenix Center, Taipei 101, Petronas Towers, Gateway of India, the Eiffel Tower, Christ the Redeemer, took also part in the symbolic 'switch off'.
