| 22 May, International Biodiversity Day: We are Part of the Solution For Nature The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity is pleased to announce the Biodiversity Day 2021 slogan: “We’re part of the solution”. The slogan was chosen to be a continuation of the momentum generated last year under the over-arching theme, “Our solutions are in nature”, which served as a reminder that biodiversity remains the answer to several sustainable development challenges. | 12 March, ACBA Dialogue on Community Based Natural Resources Management (CBNRM) in Africa The African CSOs Biodiversity Alliance hosted a webinar on “How community based natural resource management (CBNRM) can deliver Inclusive, fair and equitable Conservation for People and Nature”. It aimed to help build a consensus position on how CBNRM contributes to multiple elements of the Global Biodiversity Framework, incl. ecosystem-based adaptation and other effective conservation measures. | 27-28 May, China-Africa Youth Conservation Workshop on the Post 2020 Global Biodiversity Framework The African Wildlife Foundation has partnered with Friends of Nature to host the “China-Africa Youth Conservation Workshop on the Post 2020 Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF)”. It will gather youth perspectives on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, and aims to create new connections between empowered and inspired champions for conservation from Africa and China.
